At the Forum, community members – young energy experts from 15 countries (Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bolivia, Brazil, Vietnam, Ghana, India, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, Kenya, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Uzbekistan) made suggestions into the BRICS YEA’s agenda in 2023.

One of the decisions of the Forum was to strengthen the network of local community partners in areas where energy has a decisive role. The Global Partners Network is a new platform of the BRICS YEA that will bring together business partners from different sectors of the economy and young professionals to address the challenges of the energy transition.

“The modern description of ‘energy’ for our global youth community is not limited to its original definition. It stands for new materials, critical minerals, international logistics, environmental solutions throughout the entire life cycle of enterprises and much more. Therefore, we welcome the proposal to launch the Global Partners Network as a BRICS YEA’s platform that will strengthen partnerships around community youth initiatives, including those coming from partnered countries too,” said Alexander Kormishin, Chairperson of BRICS YEA.

The first results of the platform’s work shall be discussed at the 5th BRICS Youth Energy Summit, which will be held under the chairmanship of the Republic of South Africa in 2023.
