BRICS unites the largest countries in their macro-regions, and Russia is the central part of North-East Eurasia, to which this event is dedicated. The Future Workshop is aimed at studying promising challenges for the energy sector, including such topics as Cities and the Built Environment, The Innovation Landscape (electrification, decentralization, digitalization), Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation and other trends in the energy systems of the countries of North-East Eurasia. During this session, participants will develop regional roadmaps to involve young people in the process of transition to sustainable development of their economic sectors, including energy, taking into account that the pursuit of SDG 7 presents unique opportunities for the development of the region. To form the roadmap, participants will go through four interactive stages: understanding the topic (Preparatory phase), analyzing the region's problems (Critique phase), proposing solutions (Fantasy phase), and implementing them (Implementation phase). The results of the this session will be included in the study of the Global Youth Energy Outlook (GYEO) of Student Energy and presented at the UN Climate Сhange Conference COP 26 in 2021.
