From 29 November to 3 December 2020, the City of Ulyanovsk (Russia) welcomes the 6th BRICS Youth Summit which is hosted by the Federal Agency of Youth Affairs of Russia and the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region and co-organized by the largest Russian public organisations.

The topic of the Summit this year is “BRICS: Challenges of the Time for Youth”. The Summit will welcome 90 youth delegates in line with official delegations of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa representing youth authorities.

BRICS Youth Energy Agency and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation as an energy chair within’ the Russian BRICS Chairmanship 2020 will host two sessions on 30th November 2020 at the venue of the 6th BRICS Youth Summit to reflect on priority areas of youth energy cooperation between the five countries and to praise the success of the mentioned energy track since its inception at the very first BRICS Youth Summit in 2015 where BRICS YEA received its mandate.

The first session titled “BRICS Youth & Energy: Five years of success in youth energy cooperation and pathways for the future” will start at 14:00 (GMT+4) on 30th November where the main achievements of youth energy cooperation will be highlighted and the new plans for the future suggested.

The second session titled “BRICS Youth & Energy: Future of energy visualized by youth” will start at 15:40 (GMT+4) on 30th November where energy experts and young energy researchers will primarily discuss the research activities delivered by BRICS YEA, define priority areas for youth energy research cooperation and give a sneak peek into the Special Report “Black Swans in BRICS Energy Industries” which will be introduced in the beginning of 2021.

All the sessions will be live-streamed on the YouTube channel of the BRICS Youth Energy Agency or its official website. Energy researchers and members of the BRICS Youth Energy Agency will be kindly invited to join the sessions via Zoom platform to secure real time presence.
