Presentation of the BRICS Youth Energy Outlook 2019 became one of the most anticipated events at the II BRICS YEA Summit as part of the “Russian Energy Week” International Forum Youth Day. The Outlook was developed by more than 100 students from 13 BRICS leading universities, as well as young professionals and experts of the energy industry.

The Outlook reflects the vision of the BRICS Youth involved in energy sphere on 12 energy challenges relevant for all BRICS countries. The topic for the Special Research of the Outlook 2019 was defined as “Gas Motor Fuel: the Development of Market and Technologies”. The teams who contributed the most to the development of the Outlook 2019 were awarded by the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Energy, which endorsed the initiative of the BRICS Youth Energy Agency. The leading experts, including leaders of the Russian Ministry of Energy and rectors of the Russian leading energy universities, expressed their hope that the mentioned challenges for the energy industry might be solved by the new generation of young professionals who apply international experience and practices.

The First Prize was awarded to the team from GEBRICS/USP (University of São Paulo, Federal Republic of Brazil) by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kotyukov.
